About the Author
Fumiko has been practicing yoga for over 30 years. At the age of 36, after a terrible car accident, having a fear of aging and losing confidence in herself, Fumiko created a unique face exercise method; the Face Yoga Method. Previously a college teacher, Fumiko is the first person who advocated Facial Yoga in Japan. She is a best-selling author and TV celebrity in Japan and since 2006 Fumiko has produced face-firming tools, cosmetics and how-to books, and has her own facial yoga DVD. The results she found in her own face and those of her students speak for themselves. Fumiko's five books on face yoga have been translated into Chinese, Korean and Thai and sold in China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. She also has appeared on Korean TV shows. But it is the one on one interactions of a facial yoga class that are the most rewarding to Fumiko, helping students discover their most beautiful face and inner self. Frequently traveling, Fumiko splits her time between Japan and the US. Currently Fumiko lives in Sacramento, California with her husband Henry and daughter Nina. While taking care of her family as a wife and mother, Fumiko still finds the time to practice face excercises whenever and wherever possible. At the age of 47 she has a timeless, glowing natural beauty.

The best part of this book is the cover. There could have been far more time taken for the inside pictures and content. She does have a fun energy to her though. I would suggest just watching the videos she offers instead.

Facial exercise book

It was easy to follow. The exercises are not time consuming which is greatly appreciated. The illustrations and description of each exercise is easy to understand. Really like this book.

Dave Killoran, a graduate of Duke University, is an expert in test preparation with over 20 years of teaching experience and a 99th percentile score on a Law Services-administered LSAT. In addition to having written PowerScore's legendary LSAT Bible Series, and many other popular publications, Dave has overseen the preparation of thousands of students and founded two national LSAT preparation companies. Steven G. Stein is a test expert who has scored in the 99th percentile on an officially administered LSAT, GMAT, and GRE, and has co-authored many books on test preparation, including PowerScore’s LSAT Reading Comprehension Bible, LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible Workbook, and several volumes of PowerScore’s LSATs Deconstructed Series. Good practice but lots of typos in the answer key!

This book has about 1000 real LSAT practice questions but it's quite annoying that there are many typos in the answer key. For instance the correct answer for question #21 in Chapter 18 (Number and percentage questions) is put down as "A", during my practice I chose "C" and thus I thought I didn't get it right but also couldn't belive A to be true it just didn't make sense at all. Fortunately I happened to have the actual practice test from which this question was taken and after I checked there it turned out that I got the question right and the powerscore book had a typo in the answer key. The same story has happened to me at least 3 times so far and I haven't yet done half of the questions.

the takeaway: if you use this book for practice make sure you double check the correct answers from another sources (answer keys to all of the official tests are available for free online)

LOTS OF PRACTICE

I purchased this book with the idea that it would act as a supplement for the Logical Reasoning Bible which does not really have too many questions to practice on. The one issue I had though is that there are no explanations for the answers. There are lots of problems though for each section and it is nicely organized so it follows the types of problems you will encounter (i.e. Must Be True, Parallel Reasoning, etc.) Overall it is definitely worth the buy if you just want to get more practice and can reason the correct answers on your own.

Wish they had put explanations as well. Instead they expect us to post in a free forum n wait for answers if we have a confusion about correct answer. All good, it is nice to have a ton of practice questions lined up. Their bibles are amazing

ALEX HILL is Senior Lecturer at the University of Kingston, UK, an Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford, UK, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Pretoria. Prior to moving into university education, he worked extensively in industry and researches and consults in a wide range of service and manufacturing organizations.

TERRY HILL is Emeritus Fellow at the University of Oxford, UK, an Affiliate Professor at the Milan Polytechnic, Italy and at Ohio State University. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is a leading international figure in the field of operations management and operations strategy. Terry spent several years in operations management and continues to work as a consultant. He has held previous professorial appointments at London Business School, UK, and the University of Bath, UK.

About the Author
Dan O'Hair is dean of the University of Kentucky College of Communications and Information Studies. He is past Presidential Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Oklahoma and past president of the National Communication Association. He is coauthor or coeditor of fifteen communication texts and scholarly volumes and has published more than eighty research articles and chapters in dozens of communication, psychology, and health journals and books. He is a frequent presenter at national and international communication conferences, is on the editorial boards of various journals, and has served on numerous committees and task forces for regional and national communication associations. Hannah Rubenstein is a writer and editor who has used her academic training in communication (MA, Fairfield University) to guide her collaborations on A Speaker's Guidebook (2010), Public Speaking: Challenges and Choices (1999), and other successful college texts. She heads her own communication firm, Hedgehog Productions. Rob Stewart is an associate dean of arts and sciences and professor of communication studies at Texas Tech University. He is coauthor of A Speaker's Guidebook (2007), Public Speaking: Challenges and Choices (1999), and has also published over thirty articles and book chapters.

Best Fundamentals of Speech Communication Textbook Ever!

As a professor of Speech Communication for over 10 years, this is by far the finest textbook for an introductory class teaching the fundamentals of speech communication. Concise, thorough, and doesn't promote a political agenda. The price is affordable due to the fact that there's really no need for bright, fancy color photos or stock photography. Essential, useful, valuable material - beautifully organized.

The book itself is useful, but we didn't learn out of it at all in my class, which I kind of which I'd known before ordering it. If your class absolutely requires it, then of course you should buy it, but if not, it isn't necessary. A lot of speech skills are learned through experience.
